Cottonwood PTSA Mission 

Cottonwood Elementary PTSA is a non-profit organization which supports the children of Cottonwood Elementary in the West Valley Yakima School District. 

Here at Cottonwood our PTSA is an organization of parents and teacher who strive to enhance our students learning and experiences through programs, events and funding. We believe in building partnerships between our families our school and our community to, together we can make a difference. 

2023-2024 Goals

MEMBERSHIP

The PTSA will strive to increase the number of school family members, teachers, and community members over last year's. 

FAMILY EVENTS

Throughout the year PTSA will sponsor, coordinate, and promote family events that enrich our curriculum and/or foster a sense of school community. 

FUNDRAISING

The PTSA will increase financial support to the school through fundraising activities such as book fair, Dash for Cash, AmazonSmile and corporate matching programs. 

COMMUNICATION

1. The PTSA will ensure timely and effective communication among the PTSA members, staff and parents of Cottonwood Elementary through eBlasts, newsletters and the PTSA website.
2. The PTSA will inform the Cottonwood  community of how fundraising dollars are spent through the PTSA website, family events, newsletters, and other modes of PTSA communication. 

STAFF AND VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

1.  The PTSA will recognize and support the efforts of the staff at Cottonwood Elementary by hosting luncheons throughout the year and celebrating with a Staff Appreciation Week. 
2.  The PTSA will recognize and support the efforts of volunteers by publicizing our appreciation in newsletters and the PTSA website. 

HUMANITARIAN

The PTSA will encourage charitable giving through our canned food drive and other humanitarian outreach programs.
